We started off the festive season at Dyrham House. The National Trust have choirs singing every weekend in the church leading up to Christmas, weather permitting and this year we were the first at lunch time on 6th December. With a very opportune seat placed under a bower we had the resultant photograph taken. The church was full for both performances and the 'congregation' were happy to join in swinging along to 'Rocking around the Christmas Tree'.
So hopefully we will have a full house next Saturday afternoon when our Christmas Concert at home base Downend Folk House, Lincombe Barn, Overndale Road, BS16 2RW takes place at 2.00 pm, when we aim to support a local charity and this year the choir has chosen the Children's Hospice South West
Don't miss this event on 16th December, we have as guests Natalie & Jenny and the charity collection this year is for Children's Hospice SW.

At our Christmas concert, we aim to support a local charity and this year the choir has chosen The Children's Hospice South West, , which was felt to be an apt choice given the descriptive title of what is being sung. Our Musical Director likes to choose word themed music so the poster hopefully complements it visually.
It is our first Christmas under our new MD and it promises to be as successful as our Summer one when we had a brilliant guest, a young man solo violinist/pianist. This time our guests are duo performers on the Flute and Piano.
