Here we are already moving into 2026 but before it has traversed too far, I know the choir would like to wish everyone a good New Year.  New Year seems to be celebrated more than ever but to be truthful we know not what lies ahead and can really only be grateful for what we managed to steer through the year before. Nevertheless we can celebrate the good and hope for the best.

With these thoughts in mind, it is quite uplifting to belong to a choir, enjoy singing and thinking about the words the songs portray.  Christmas is especially lovely and on 6th December, Cleeve were at Dyrham Church where we sang two sessions to a full house. The photograph was taken in the grounds of Dyrham House, an occasion when we wear more informal attire.

The Christmas concert at the Barn was on the following Saturday when we had guests and a charity collection which was for the Children's Hospice SW. They were pleased to collect £186.76 so thank you everyone who attended and donated. There was a slight change this year as audience participation was by singing two carols, one at the beginning and one at the end of the afternoon. It was nice to receive appreciative comments and see smiling faces. It makes entertaining worthwhile.

Keep Smiling and the World will smile back at you, as the saying goes - well the sun will!
